Aestiora License

Every image on Aestiora is free to use for personal, editorial, and commercial purposes — no attribution required, no hidden tiers, no licensing ambiguity.

What the License Covers

The Aestiora Open License is designed for clarity. All images available on this platform are granted to users free of charge, with a broad set of permitted uses covering the vast majority of professional creative contexts. The license requires no sign-up, no purchase, and no attribution.

All images have been sourced from photographers who have explicitly consented to their inclusion under these terms, or from public-domain sources where copyright has definitively expired or been waived. Aestiora makes no claim of copyright ownership over the underlying photographic works.

Always Free

All images are available at no cost for any use covered by this license. There are no premium tiers, watermark fees, or hidden paywalls.

Commercial Use Included

You may use images in advertising, branding, product packaging, social media campaigns, client work, and any other commercial context without restriction.

No Attribution Required

You are not required to credit Aestiora or the original photographer when using images. Attribution is welcome but never obligatory.

What You Can and Cannot Do

The Aestiora Open License is intentionally permissive. The restrictions listed below are narrow and exist to prevent misuse of the images as standalone assets — not to limit how you use them within your own creative work.

Further Considerations

Model & Property Releases Where images depict identifiable individuals or recognizable private property, you are responsible for determining whether your specific use case requires a model or property release. For commercial advertising that implies a person's endorsement of a product or brand, you must independently secure such releases. Aestiora provides release metadata where available but cannot guarantee completeness across all images in the collection.
Image Origin & Rights All images have been sourced from photographers who have explicitly consented to inclusion under the Aestiora Open License, or from public-domain sources where copyright has definitively expired or been waived by the originating rights holder. Aestiora does not claim copyright ownership over any of the underlying photographic works.
Modifications You may edit, crop, filter, colorize, or otherwise modify images for any permitted use. Modified versions are subject to the same license terms as the originals. You may not claim copyright over an unmodified or minimally modified version of an Aestiora image as your own original work.
License Updates Aestiora reserves the right to update this license at any time. Images downloaded before any update remain governed by the license version in effect at the time of download. We will post the effective date of any material changes on this page. Last updated: June 2026.
